1. Which hour was most daunting for you?
I would have to say that hour right after dinner, I just ate and all I really wanted to do was curl up on the couch with a blanket and watch a movie not read any more.
2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a reader engaged next year?
At this point in time no, but I will think of them and post them here before next year.
3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the readathon next year?
Nope
4. What do you think worked really well in this years Read-a-thon?
Well this is my first readathon so I really have no idea. But I had fun doing some of the challenges to give my eyes a break.

I started High Fidelity and Tall, Dark and Hungry
7. Which book did you enjoy most?
Tall, Dark and Hungry even though I really dont read alot of romance novels I have really enjoyed the lighter reading of something new.
8. Which book did you enjoy least?
I really liked them all but I found High Fidelity putting me down as I had to read it for school.
9. OMIT/I WAS NOT A CHEERLEADER but I think next year I will take some time from reading to do some cheerleading to give my eyes the break
10. How likely are you to particpate again?
I see myself particpating again, maybe even hosting my own challenge because they were fun to do and let your eyes take a breather.
I know, everytime I eat something I wanted to curl up and go to sleep which was a lot of times bcoz I did eat a lot, lol

I think it's fun to be a cheerleader and reader, just for the variety! :) I read HIgh Fidelity earlier this year...it was my first Hornby fiction, and I strongly prefer his nonfic.

ReplyDeleteOh man...I didn't hear about this. Perhaps I'll look into during the next one. I usually play in the 24 hour game-a-thon, where you play straight video games to raise proceeds for the children's hospital. Talk about a strain on the eyes!
